The New Zealand Amateur Tennis Association (NZATA) highly respects your data security. This document outlines how we collect, store, and protect your information, in compliance with the NZ Privacy Act and Google Sponsor review guidelines.

Privacy Policy

1. What Personal Data Do We Collect?

When you register to join our association, fill out an online contact form, or sign up for seasonal tournaments, we may collect the following information with your explicit consent: your full name, email address, telephone number, NTRP self-rating skill level, and public action photos taken during official events.

2. How Do We Use Your Data?

All collected data is utilized strictly and exclusively for the following core purposes:

  • Structured tournament pairing, scheduling, and seasonal ranking calculations;
  • Urgent match updates (e.g., weather-related court changes) sent via email or SMS text notifications;
  • On-court physical liability insurance and safety management;
  • Public non-profit media documentation and community highlights on our official website gallery.

3. Data Security & Third-Party Sharing Guarantee (⚠️Critical Audit Guarantee)

"We formally guarantee: NZATA will never sell, trade, rent, or lease your personal data (including name, email, or telephone numbers) to any third-party commercial organizations or advertising networks. All data is stored in encrypted secure databases, accessible strictly to authorized volunteer board members for event operations."

4. Media Opt-out & Information Deletion Rights

We respect your personal privacy. If you do not wish for your match photos to be displayed in our gallery, or want to completely remove your registration details from our network, you can email us at info@nzamateurtennis.co.nz. Our volunteer team will immediately take down the requested media or purge your personal record within 24 hours without delay.

Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the New Zealand Amateur Tennis Association (NZATA). By accessing this website or registering for our tournament events, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

1. Community Code of Conduct

NZATA is dedicated to fostering a friendly, inclusive sports community. Any forms of discrimination (based on race, nationality, gender, or orientation), harassment, or unsportsmanlike behavior on our courts or discussion channels will result in immediate disqualification and termination of membership.

2. Amateur Eligibility Declaration

All leagues and tournaments are strictly recreational amateur events. Players with professional points (ATP/WTA) or full-time professional training backgrounds are not eligible to compete in standard NTRP categories.

3. Personal Injury Indemnity

Tennis is a high-intensity sport. All competitors must ensure they are in fit physical condition and free from underlying health conditions (e.g., severe cardiovascular injuries) before stepping on the court. NZATA, as a non-profit entity, provides insurance access but holds no unlimited liability for personal health conditions.
